Speech on Vegetarianism - Kabir Sahib

Consuming Meat and Alcohol Prohibited By Kabir Sahib

Kabir Vani on being a vegetarian

God Kabir has very openly through his speech (Vani) urged for all to be vegetarians and not kill any living being for any purpose.

Nabi Mohammed is respectable who has been called the incarnation of God. His 1.80 lakh followers never cut any goat, chicken, cow etc. i.e. never killed any living beings and never consumed meat. These Prophets Hazrat Mohammed, Hazrat Moosa, Hazrat Eesa etc. were pious people and were recipient of favour of Brahm (Jyoti Niranjan / Kaal), but The Supreme God (Allahhu Akbar i.e. Allah Kabir) who is in the end point of the sky (Satlok - Eternal Place), no one has ever escaped the eye of that Master of the creation.

Once Prophet Mohammed killed a cow with his word power and then restored it back to life in front of everyone. He did not eat the meat of cow. Now the Muslim society is not familiar with the reality. The day the cow was resurrected, to remember that day a cow is killed. If you cannot resurrect the cow, then you have no authority to kill. You consume meat yourself and then give it to others in the form of a 'prasaad' (remains of food offered to God). You yourself incur sin and are also misleading the followers. You are becoming the recipients of hell (dojakh).

Kabir Sahib is saying that those who consume meat and drink alcohol, even after listening to satsang (discourse), do not relinquish evil deeds and don't take initiation, consider them clearly to be demons. Unknowingly anyone can commit a mistake. If someone after listening to satsang abandons the evil deeds and starts worshipping the God, then he is a noble soul irrespective of the religion. Those who do not stop eating meat and drinking alcohol and do not worship the God are low irrespective of what ever religion they may belong to. The meaning is that those who do noble deeds are noble and those doing low deeds are low. Those who remain in the company of low people cause harm to their worship.(1-2)

Those who consume meat and drink alcohol, that female who practices prostitution and those who make a prostitute do business and earn money from her, those who gamble, those who commit theft and do not listen when told, they incur heinous sin and will fall in deep hell (5)

Meat may be from a cow, a deer or a chicken, those who consume meat are destined to hell. Those who eat meat unknowingly (e.g. unknowingly one consumed meat at their relatives place because of not being told or considering it to be a vegetable) they do not incur sin but in future they must remain very vigilant. Those who knowingly consume meat incur sin. This meat is dog food and is prohibited for a human being. (6-7)

Those who take initiation from Gurus which consume meat and alcohol never achieve salvation, instead are destined to deep hell. (10)

Those who commit violence towards animals (whether they kill a cow, pig, goat, chicken, man because of their selfish interest) are heinously sinful people (even if they have taken initiation from a complete guru). They can never achieve salvation. (14)

If someone after consuming even a speck of meat donates crores of cows, then also his worship is useless. Even if a meat eater gets his neck severed in Kashi, then also he is destined to hell. (16)

A goat that you have killed was eating grass and satisfying her hunger. In this Kaal lok, a vegetarian animal got killed, then those who eat the meat of a goat, they will incur even a greater suffering than that. (18)

Kabir Sahib asks a Mullah, when did you receive the order of compassionate God about killing an animal by halal and then eating and distributing the meat to others. (21)

When a son of a Qazi (Muslim Priest) dies, then that Qazi suffers a lot. That Supreme God (Allah Kabir) is father of all. Allah is never pleased by those who kill His beings. (22)

Everyone experiences the same type of pain. Ignorants do not know. If you send a goat etc. to heaven by killing an animal by halal, then why don't Mullah's and Qazi achieve heaven by cutting their necks by doing halal. (23)

When a Mullah kills a goat, then that dumb goat tries to tell the Mullah that by killing me don't incur sin. When according to God's law an account will be taken then you will have to face a very big problem. (24)

Forcefully and without any compassion you kill a goat etc. and say that you are doing halal. You will have to bear great suffering because of this double standard policy. Qazi or Mullah or any other being who is killing living beings is breaking the law of Supreme God as a result of which he will get a beating in the court of Dharamrai (God who keeps account of sins and good deeds). If you have interest in doing halal then do halal of lust, anger, greed, attachment and arrogance.
You do namaaz (prayer) fives times and at the time of Ramadan also keep fasts. In the evening you kill a cow, goat, chicken etc. and eat its meat. On one hand you do a prayer to God and on the other hand you kill His being. How will God become happy with you like this? Meaning - you are yourself becoming a recipient of sin and by incurring the sin of misleading your followers, you will fall in deep hell. (28-33)

God Kabir is saying that O' Qazi and Mullahs, you are also being addressed as Pirs (Gurus) A Pir is one who understands the suffering of others and saves them from their miseries, does not cause anyone any harm. One who does not get upset in someone else's misery, he is a kaafir (inferior), bepir (uncompassionate). He is not worthy of becoming a Pir (Guru) (36)

Superior most food is khichri (dish made from rice and lentils with salt), eat that. One who cuts someone else's neck has to pay back. On knowing this a learned person doesn't cut his own neck. The flag bearers of both the religions have become uncompassionate. Hindu's Gurus say that we kill an animal in an instant which doesn't cause any suffering to an animal that is why we are not incurring sin. The leaders of Muslim religion say that we kill an animal slowly by halal as a result of which we don't incur sin. God Kabir Sahib questioned, how would you feel if your neck of neck or one of your relatives is cut by any means? (37-40)
