Ali Allah ka Sher hai - Garib Das Ji

Ali & Muhammad & God Kabir

These verses from Amar Granth Sahib of Garib Das Ji Maharaj acknowledge the greatness of Ali and Prophet Muhammad, but clearly declare that Kabir Sahib is the Supreme Power beyond all creation. The knowledge and power of saints and prophets are limited within creation (the 14 lokas), but Kabir is the origin of all knowledge, the eternal, Supreme God (Satpurush), who alone can grant complete liberation.

The following speech is from Parakh Ka Ang from Amar Granth Sahib of Garib Das Ji Maharaj

Verse 322 Hindi (Original):

Translation: Gareeb, why wouldn’t Ali be strong like an elephant, horse, or warrior?
His sword was so fierce that none between the divine or earthly realms could escape its impact.

Explanation: Ali’s valor and strength were unmatched. His sword (tegh) was feared across both earthly and divine realms—such was his might. Yet again, despite his power, he was not the Supreme God, only a mighty soul within creation.

Verse 323 Hindi (Original):

Translation: Gareeb, if Ali swung his sword, it would cut through enemies up to seventy steps away.
If he pointed it toward the sky, it would reach up to the seven heavens.

Explanation: This verse poetically describes Ali’s supernatural martial power—his sword could defeat armies from afar and had the reach to strike through seven heavens. Despite such immense power, the next context in Kabir's teachings emphasizes that Kabir Sahib alone is the Supreme God, beyond all warriors and prophets.

Verse 324 Hindi (Original):

Translation: Gareeb, Ali is the lion of Allah, brave and pure in body. Krishna and Ali are of the same divine class, but Kabir has a unique power beyond them all.

Explanation: Ali, a key figure in Islam, was empowered by divine grace due to his devotion in a previous birth. He possessed extraordinary spiritual and martial strength, being described as the "lion of Allah". Both Ali and Shri Krishna are considered powerful divine personalities, yet Kabir is described as distinct and superior in divine power and essence.

Verse 325 Hindi (Original):

Translation: Gareeb, Ali is nurtured in the heart of Allah, and countless such forms have descended. Krishna is a divine energy among many, but Kabir's path is beyond comprehension.

Explanation: Ali is said to have emerged from Allah's own being, symbolizing deep divine connection. However, countless such powerful beings have come and gone. Krishna himself is described as one powerful aspect among many. In contrast, the path of Kabir—the Supreme God—is said to be beyond reach and understanding for most. His power is incomparable and transcendental.

Verse 326 Hindi (Original):

Translation: Gareeb, countless like Ali have existed, and there have been fifty padam Muhammads. Kabir is the One without a second; no other equals Him.

Explanation: There have been innumerable powerful souls like Ali and as many as fifty padam (50 quadrillion) souls of the level of Prophet Muhammad across time. But Kabir, the Supreme God, stands alone. He is beyond comparison and has no equal or second. He is eternal, singular, and self-existent.

Summary of the Message:

These verses, revealed by Kabir Sahib and explained by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, clarify the position of great spiritual figures in the divine hierarchy:

  • Ali was a divinely empowered soul and a loyal supporter of Prophet Muhammad.
  • Ali and Krishna are acknowledged as powerful beings, but they are not the Supreme.
  • Many such great personalities have appeared in creation over time.
  • Kabir Sahib alone is the Supreme God, who is eternal, incomparable, and beyond the cycle of birth and death.
  • True salvation can only be attained by worshipping Satpurush Kabir through the method given by a Tatvadarshi Saint.
