Moko kahan dhoondhe re bande, maen to tere paas mein |

Na teerath mein na moorat mein, na ekaant nivaas mein|
Na mandir mein, na masjid mein, na Kashi Kailash mein||1||

Na maen jap mein na maen tap mein, na vrat upvaas mein|
Na maen kriya karam mein rehta, na maen yog sanyas mein ||2||

Nahin praan mein nahin pind mein, na brahmand aakash mein|
Na maen trikuti bhanwar gufa mein, sab shwaasan ke shwaas mein ||3||

Khoji hoye turant mil jaayun, ek pal hi ki talaash mein|
Kahae Kabir suno bhai Saadho, maen to hun vishwas mein ||4||

मोको कहाँ ढूंढे रे बंदे, मैं तो तेरे पास में।
ना तीर्थ में ना मूरत में, ना एकांत निवास में।
ना मंदिर में, ना मस्जिद में, ना काशी कैलाश में॥१॥

ना मैं जप में, ना मैं तप में, ना व्रत उपवास में।
ना मैं क्रिया करम में रहता, ना मैं योग सन्यास में॥२॥

नहीं प्राण में, नहीं पिंड में, ना ब्रह्मांड आकाश में।
ना मैं त्रिकुटी भंवर गुफा में, सब श्वासों के श्वास में॥३॥

खोजी होए तुरत मिल जाऊं, एक पल की तलाश में।
कहै कबीर सुनो भाई साधो, मैं तो हूँ विश्वास में॥४॥

Verse 1:

"Moko kahan dhoondhe re bande, main to tere paas mein Na teerath mein na moorat mein, na ekaant nivaas mein Na mandir mein, na masjid mein, na Kashi Kailash mein"

Meaning: O seeker, why do you search for Me in the world? I am very close to you. I am not in pilgrimage places or idols, nor in remote retreats. I am not in temples, nor in mosques—not in Kashi or Mount Kailash.

Explanation: God Kabir declares that the Supreme God is not found in external rituals, holy sites, or places of worship. People look outward, but God is closer than breath. Blind pilgrimage or idol worship cannot reveal the truth.

Verse 2:

"Na main jap mein, na main tap mein, na vrat upvaas mein Na main kriya karam mein rehta, na main yog sanyas mein"

Meaning: I am not in chanting or austerities, not in fasting or vows. I do not dwell in ritualistic acts, nor in yoga or renunciation.

Explanation: God is not pleased by outward religious practices like mantra chanting, penance, fasting, or rituals. True devotion is not about abandoning the world or performing rites

Verse 3:

"Nahin praan mein nahin pind mein, na brahmand aakash mein Na main trikuti bhanwar gufa mein, sab shwaasan ke shwaas mein"

Meaning: I am not merely in breath or in the body, not in the cosmic sky. Not in higher realms like Trikuti or Bhanwar Gufa— I am in every breath you take.

Explanation: The Supreme God is beyond physical and subtle elements. Even the deeper planes  (like Trikuti or Bhanwar Gufa) are not His final abode. He is imminently present in every breath, accessible through true spiritual knowledge and inner faith.

Verse 4:

"Khoji hoye turant mil jaayun, ek pal hi ki talaash mein Kahae Kabir suno bhai Saadho, main to hun vishwas mein"

Meaning: If you become a true seeker, I will be found instantly—in just a moment of genuine search. Kabir says—O seekers! Listen carefully: I dwell in true faith (vishwas).

Explanation: God Kabir assures that the Supreme God is easily attainable if the seeker is sincere and guided rightly. He is not hidden far away—He resides in true, unwavering faith, not in empty ritual or blind devotion.
