Gods, Holy Scriptures and Religions

The topic of God is shrouded with confusion and mystery. It is so because there are many Gods and many variations and beliefs, apart from major religions like Hinduism, Islam, Christianity etc. Hinduism is considered the oldest religion where as Christianity, Islam and Sikhism are fairly new. By far the maximum number of Gods are found in Hinduism. Being the oldest, it is also the most adulterated as with the passage of time, various aberrations naturally appear in a belief system. Discussed below is the general hierarchy of Gods. Although it is more relevant to Hinduism but it applies equally to other religions such as Islam and Christianity. Everyone needs to know about the status of following Gods in order to grasp the concept of Supreme God.

Hierarchy of Gods

  1. Supreme God Kabir - Also known as Param Akshar Brahm or Satchitanandghan Brahm or Paar Brahm or Puran Brahm. God Kabir is the master of infinite multiverses. We are all children of God Kabir. Due to a mistake we left God Kabir and accompanied Brahm to his 21 universes. As a result we are now entrapped in these 21 universes of Brahm.
  2. Brahm.  Also known as Kaal, Jyoti Niranjan (Alakh Niranjan). Brahm is the master of 21 Brahmands. We are residing in one of his Brahmand. Brahmand is a hindi term used to denote a universe or a multiverse. In other religions like Islam and Christianity, Brahm is also known as the Devil, or Satan or Shaitaan. Read about Brahm.
  3. Goddess Durga - Also known as Sheranwali, Shakti, Adhya, Aadi Maya, Ashtangi. She is the wife of God Brahm. Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are the children of Brahm and Goddess Durga.
  4. Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv - These three are brothers but have different ages. Brahma has the shortest whereas Shiva has the longest life span amongst the three.
  5. Other Gods / Goddesses - There are various other Gods, Goddesses and deities prevalent in Hinduism, some of which are children of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, while others are incarnations or part incarnation of these Gods and Goddess Durga.

The most prevalent or famous Gods in Hinduism are Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Very few know about God Brahm. Hardly anyone knows about God Kabir being the Supreme God. All the holy scriptures, however, prove that Kabir (the weaver saint of Banaras) is Supreme God.

What is the status of Gods in Religions like Islam and Christianity?

One needs to understand the concept of incarnation to get a grip on Gods and messengers in Islam and Christianity.

Types of Incarnation

There are two types of incarnations.

  • The first type is where God himself incarnates. E.g. Lord Vishnu himself incarnated in the form of Shri Ram, Shri Krishna etc.
  • The second type of incarnation is where Godly souls come from the world of a particular God. E.g. Sage Kapil and Parshuram are also counted among the incarnations of God Vishnu. They were not God Vishnu himself but they were godly souls who had come from Vishnu Lok (the world of Vishnu). They possessed some powers of God Vishnu because they were sent by him.

The above concept is vital to understand the status of Gods in Islam and Christianity and their messengers.

Islam

Holy Book Quran was revealed on Prophet Muhammad. The knowledge was conveyed by Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) but the knowledge was given by Brahm or Kaal. The Allah in Islam is none other than Brahm or Kaal.

  • Prophet Muhammad was the incarnation of Lord Shiva (godly soul who came from the world of Lord Shiva).

Christianity

  • Prophet Adam was the incarnation of Lord Brahma (godly soul who came from the world of Lord Brahma).
  • Jesus Christ was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu (godly soul who came from the world of Lord Vishnu).

Christians also consider Jesus as the son of God. The father God in Christianity is also Brahm or Kaal. He claims to be a jealous god (Exodus 20.5) (another quality of God Brahm).

Brahm in Quran says that he is the one who has given the knowledge of the 4 books (Zabur, Torah, Injil and Quran)

Which Scripture pertains to Which God?

Vedas - Vedas are the oldest scriptures. They are assigned to Hinduism but they actually are for everyone. Vedas give knowledge about Brahm and also about Param Akshar Brahm (Supreme God).

Bhagavad Gita - This scripture was spoken by Brahm (at the time of Battle of Mahabharata as a dialogue between Arjun and Shri Krishna. It was later written by Sage Ved Vyas) and it is a summary of the four vedas. It gives knowledge about Brahm and some knowledge about Param Akshar Brahm.

Puranas - There are various Puranas such as Shiv Purana, Vishnu Purana, Devi Bhagwad Purana, Markandeya Purana etc. These Puranas were compiled by Sage Ved Vyas and they contain mixed knowledge about God, Brahm, Goddess Durga, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, various sages, and their interactions with virtuous souls etc. The knowledge in Puranas is what sages heard from Brahma. Puranas are considered much lower in hierarchy compared to Vedas and Bhagavad Gita.

Bible - Bible is an amalgamation of Zabur, Torah and Injil. Although, Bible is sacred to Christians but these scriptures are also revered in Islam because the God giving the knowledge of Quran clarifies that it was him who gave the earlier books to David, Moses and Jesus. So, it is the same God who has given the knowledge of the 4 books namely Zabur, Torah, Injil (collecgtively called Bible) and Quran.

The knowledge of Bible was given by Brahm.

Quran - Quran is a holy book of Muslims. The knowledge of Quran was given by Brahm.

Various Religions and their Holy Scriptures

  • Hinduism - Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, Puranas
  • Sikhism - Shri Guru Granth Sahib
  • Christianity - Bible
  • Islam - Quran, but also Torah, Zabur and Injil

What is Shri Guru Granth Sahib and What is Sikhism?

A pious soul named Guru Nanak Dev Ji, in 15th century, after meeting Supreme God Kabir, started a tradition of Guru and disciple. In Punjabi language a disciple is known as "Sikh". In Hindi it is called "shishya". So, what Guru Nanak Dev ji propagated after being initiated by God Kabir was a guru-disciple tradition but later on it took the shape of a religion called Sikhism. In true sense, Sikhism is no religion on its own.

The holy scripture in Sikhism is called Guru Granth Sahib. It is a compilation of speeches of various Gurus and pious devotees. The whole text is addressed as Guru Granth Sahib. It also contains knowledge about the Supreme God Kabir apart from importance of naam (mantra) and satguru (living master) who can impart the true mantra (satnaam).

What is the Gist of Holy Scriptures of Hinduism?

In summary the Vedas, Puranas and Bhagavad Gita tells us the following.

  1. Brahma Ji says that Vishnu is God.
  2. Vishnu Ji says that Goddess Durga is God.
  3. Durga says that "Brahm" is God.
  4. Brahm (in Bhagavad Gita) says that Param Askhar Brahm is Supreme God.

The evidence for the first 3 points can be read in Shrimad Devi Bhagwad Purana.

Vedas, among other things, tell us about the characteristics and qualities of Supreme God. Vedas also tell us the name of that Supreme God. Vedas say that the name of Supreme God is Kavir Dev. Bhagavad Gita says the same.

Holy Scriptures of Supreme God

Bhagavad Gita and Vedas say that the Supreme God gives complete knowledge about himself from his own mouth. He himself provides his knowledge. This is mentioned in Bhagavad Gita 4.32 and Rig Veda Mandal 9 Sukt 82 Mantra 2.

God Kabir had given knowledge about himself in the 14th century CE when he gave all the knowledge to his disciple Dharamdas who wrote it down. This is available as Kabir Sagar.

In 1727CE, God Kabir met his virtuous soul Garibdas Ji and took him to his eternal place Satlok and showed him around. God Kabir inserted all the core knowledge into the subtle body of Garibdas Ji. Garibdas ji then uttered all the speeches which were written down by his disciple Gopal Das ji. This is available to us as Sat Granth Sahib of Garib Das Ji Maharaj.

So there are 2 Holy scriptures which have been given directly by Supreme God

  1. Kabir Sagar
  2. Sat Granth Sahib of Garib Das ji

Kabir Sagar being more than 600 years old has been heavily adulterated by fake kabir panthi saints. However, Sat Granth Sahib of Garib Das ji is still pristine.

Conclusion

The bottom line of the above article is that apart from path of God Kabir, everything else is road leading to Kaal Brahm (Satan). By worshipping Kaal, one cannot achieve liberation. Only God Kabir can grant salvation to a soul by providing the True Mantras of the True Worship by which one can attain Satlok (Eternal Place).
