Sukshm Ved / Fifth Veda

Suksham Ved Fifth Veda

What is Sukshm Ved (सुक्ष्म / स्वसम वेद) or the Fifth Veda (पांचवा वेद), also called Panchama Veda

Fifth Veda or the Panchama Veda is also known as Sukshm veda which is separate to the four known vedas which are Sam Veda, Rig Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda.

The four vedas contain supreme knowledge about God. The knowledge of the four vedas has been given by Kaal / Brahm. Bhagavad Gita is a summary of the four vedas which was also given by Kaal God.

Fifth Veda is a repository of the most superior knowledge which goes above and beyond the four vedas. The knowledge of the 5th veda has been given by the Supreme God himself. God Kaal in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita has alluded to the Panchama Veda.

Is Mahabharata or the Ramayana the Fifth Veda

Some people claim Mahabharata to be the Fifth Veda. Some even claim Ramayana to be the 5th Veda. The main point to consider here is that both the Mahabharata and the Ramayana do not contain any special knowledge about the Supreme God and neither do they contain any new knowledge which is not present in the four vedas. Hence Mahabharata and Ramayana are not the 5th veda.

One has to realize that the 5th veda contains such a knowledge which is not present in the four vedas. Read below what the 5th veda or the sukshm veda contains.

Are Puranas / Bhagavad Purana the Fifth Veda

All the puranas were compiled by Sage Ved Vyasa. Puranas pertain to a particular God / Goddess or a Deity or a Saint. Puranas contain knowledge about individual understanding of the vedas mixed with their own interpretation of the vedas and personal experiences of that particular deity. Puranas therefore derive their knowledge from the four vedas therefore Puranas are not superior to the vedas. This means none of Puranas can be the 5th veda. The claim that Puranas are the Panchama Veda is also wrong.

What does the Fifth Veda Contain

Fifth Veda gives the most secretive knowledge about Supreme God. 5th Veda reveals the name of the Supreme God, his eternal abode which never gets destroyed even during mahapralaya, the way to achieve the Supreme God or in other words the way to achieve moksha (liberation). The way to achieve Moksha is not present in the four vedas or the Bhagavad Gita. This hidden knowledge has been given in the 5th Veda or the Sukshm Ved.

Who has given the knowledge of the Fifth Veda

The knowledge in the Fifth Veda has been given by Supreme God himself. Only the Supreme God can give away his secret. No one else has the ability to give knowledge about the Supreme God apart from the Supreme God himself. 5th Veda is therefore a collection of all the knowledge spoken and given by Supreme God. God Kaal in Bhagavad Gita has given exactly the same statement about the 5th Veda.

Mention of Fifth Veda in Bhagavad Gita

God Kaal in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita chapter 4, verse 32 says that various religious acts / activities have been described by the God himself (through his mouth) in his speech (vani).

This speech has been referred to as the Panchama Veda or the Sukshm Ved. To clarify it further God Kaal in Bhagavad Gita chapter 4, verse 34 says that only a Tatvadarshi Sant (God realised saint) will give you the complete knowledge about the Supreme God. Please read the verses below.

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4 Verse 32

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4 Verse 32

In the verse above the word "ब्रह्मणः" has been translated wrongly as "Veda". ब्रह्मणः means God (God bigger than Brahm). The words "ब्रह्मणः मुखे" means "the speech uttered from the mouth of Supreme God". This speech of Supreme God has been referred to as the Fifth Veda or the Suksham Veda.

Essence | Which Holy Text is the Fifth Veda or Sukshm Veda

The essence is, that Supreme God Himself gives his secret. He does so by appearing on this earth and then gives his knowledge through his own mouth which is recorded as speeches (vani). The collection of that speech is the actual 5th Veda or Sukshm Ved.

God Kabir appeared on this earth and gave the supreme knowledge via Kabir Vani (कबीर वाणी). This vani / knowledge is the Sukshm Ved or the 5th Veda. God Kabir also gave his knowledge via Sant Garib Das Ji which is bound as a text called "Sat Granth Sahib". So all the texts of Kabir Saheb (Kabir Sagar, Bijak, Shabdavali etc.) combined with Sat Granth Sahib of Garib Das Ji constitutes the fifth veda. (It should be borne in mind that because Kabir vani is around 600+ years old, it has been heavily adulterated where as Sat Granth Sahib of Garib Das Ji is still pristine and contains pure authentic knowledge)

Vedas and Gita have limited knowledge. Fifth Veda or Sukshm Ved has the way of worship mentioned in the Vedas and the Gita as well as the way of worship of complete salvation. Only a Tatvadarshi Sant holds this knowledge. One has to find a Tatvadarshi Sant to gain complete knowledge and Moksha.
